1. To promote the growth of Unitarian Universalism, primarily in New York State, through support of innovative programs carried out by UU Societies and associated organizations; 2. To promote awareness and appreciation of, and literacy in, both Universalist history and the contemporary value of basic Universalist concepts; and 3. To carry out such functions as are necessary to administer the NYSCU Service Gratuity Program; to hold, maintain or dispose of real and personal property deeded to the Convention; and to maintain a relationship with the St. Lawrence Foundation for Religious Education.
A. Funding of proposals which develop public awareness and interest in Unitarian Universalism and which will lead to support or activity in furtherance of the UU movement; B. Funding of proposals which promote growth through improved operations of local societies. C. Funding of the publication or presentation of an Annual or Biennial paper related to Universalist Heritage and its contemporary value. D. Coordination and cooperation with the St. Lawrence and Metropolitan Districts of New York State and with the Unitarian Universalist Association.* E. Pursuit of the above through the administrative action of the Executive Board of the Convention; and F. Carrying out of such additional responsibilities as are required under its By-Laws and the statutes under which the NYSCU is incorporated. 3 November 2001 * Districts since folded into the Central East Region of the UUA.
