Joining the NYSCU

Article II, Section C-201 of the NYSCU By-Laws states:

The Convention shall be composed of the following societies which shall be represented in the Convention by lay delegates to be chosen by them as prescribed in Section 202:

The Pullman Memorial Universalist Church, Albion
The First Universalist Society of Auburn, N.Y.
The Unitarian Church of Barneveld—a Unitarian Universalist Congregation
Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Binghamton
All Souls Church of Brooklyn
The Unitarian Universalist Church of Buffalo
The Unitarian Universalist Church of Canandaigua
The First Universalist Church of Canton
The Unitarian Universalist Church of Central Nassau (Garden City)
First Universalist Church, Central Square
First Universalist Society of Cortland
Unitarian Universalist Church of East Aurora
Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Glens Falls
Hornell Alfred Unitarian Universalist Society
Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Jamestown
St. Paul's Universalist Church, Little Falls
Unitarian Universalist Church, Middletown
The Fourth Universalist Society in the City of New York

This list of member Societies may be changed via By-law amendment.  Any Society located in New York State wishing to be admitted to membership must submit a formal request to that effect.  Such request must indicate an explicit affirmation of the Mission Statement of the Convention, and an explicit commitment to incorporate the Universalist name in all internal and external communications.  No Society shall be eliminated from membership unless it has formally requested such elimination, or has been declared extinct by the Executive Board.
